Eggcellent!

Easter Events come together on final day of term!

It was great to see everyone enjoying the Easter events today as we drew the Spring term to a close. We had our Easter Bonnet parade in the Hall, where each class displayed their imaginative creations for every other class and teachers judged who they felt stood out above the others for a Bronze, Silver and Gold position. Well done to all those who took part in this small bit of fun. Just make sure you do not eat all that chocolate at once.

Across the day, each class got to enjoy an obscure sport and this was Fencing with Premier Sports for their end of half-term treat. It was great to see each class wearing their fencing clothing, but everyone loved the floppy foam swords. The children were extremely excited.

The mini Easter egg hunt was another activity that everyone shared in and every child was given the chance to find an egg that they could carry in their very own handmade basket. I do think some glasses needed cleaning, because some pupils could not see an egg staring them straight in the face.

The ladies from our new PTFA came in to draw the raffle in the afternoon and lots of children won eggs from this. Well done to all lucky winners. It does not matter if you did not win an egg, it is simply a game of luck. A big thank you to all who donated eggs for the children to enjoy. We raised almost £100 at the Infant school from raffle ticket sales, which the PTFA will now put towards their savings for their improvement project. This will be shared soon, so watch this space.

Well, I hope the weather improves for our holidays and remember to stay safe. We will see you all again on Wednesday 20th April 2022.
