Natural Artists

Natural Resources used to create Art!

Another jam-packed week with all classes taking advantage of the early, glorious weather and taking their learning outside. We had Mrs. Bailey taking the children out for Gymnastics with some very lively and colourful ribbons in action and we have had the Year 2 children going outside to create artistic designs using natural resources. Their ideas were extremely well-thought-out.

In Reception, the children have been learning about Henri Matisse and his L'escargot image. They have been learning facts about snails, which of course, they could not wait to tell me and creating their own versions of Matisse's original. They really looked amazing. Great job Caterpillars!

Next week, I will be looking forward to covering in Reception class. Not only that, but we also have our Governors visiting to review our SEND provision on another Challenge Day and this all occurs just prior to the start of the half-term, where I am sure teaching staff will be busy writing their pupils' end of year reports.

Have a relaxing weekend everyone!
