Firework Safety Time!

Bonfire Night drives important safety message!
This week we saw Bonfire Night take place, so it was very important for children to learn about appropriate safety when attending fireworks displays and large gatherings around bonfires. Our Immersive Classroom helped a great deal as Year 2 visited to use their senses to identify the possible hazards involved in such an occasion. They all did very well and understood what they needed to do in order to be safe. Behaviour was also very positive.
I was so pleased with the maturity of the children who had their flu vaccinations on Monday. They were all so calm and brave. Well done to everyone!
Next week, we have several things taking place so please ensure you see the reminders on Class Dojo. On Monday, we have the beginning of Anti-Bullying Week so children need to be wearing odd socks. On Tuesday, we have our Remembrance event where both schools meet with their wreath contributions around the memorial alongside the Church, the Royal British Legion and members of the public. On Thursday, we have Governor Challenge Day where our Governors visit to focus on a specific area of our School Improvement Plan. Then on Friday, we have a Children in Need event, where children can come into school in non-uniform in exchange for a donation. We will share how you can donate directly to the charity instead of sending children in with loose change.
Have a great weekend everyone!
