Comic Relief and Easter Eggs

We painted the town red in colour and covered it in chocolate!

It has been an incredibly hectic week and one which has seen Red Nose Day, Easter Eggs, Curriculum Celebration, Reports. Science and Engineering, Sheep and a Choir trip.

On Monday, the Junior school had some sheep delivered to form part of our scientific enquiry for Science and Engineering Week. The Infant classes have all been over to take a look and learn from livestock up close. They have definitely brought a calming influence to the school.

On Tuesday, several of our Years 1 and 2 children went with the Junior choristers to participate in the Norfolk County Music Festival in Norwich held at the King's Centre. The children performed two songs beautifully with so much enthusiasm and were awarded with a Highly Commended Plus judgement by the adjudicator. The Federation was very proud of them all. Mrs. White-Joubert is also offering those who took part an ice-cream treat as a reward. Thank you to all those who helped on the day and the spectators who supported the schools.

On Wednesday, parents were invited in to look through the learning journeys of the children. The children really enjoy doing this because it gives them a platform to describe what they have achieved, what they have liked and what they could improve upon. It was very well attended again, so thank you to all those family members who visited.

On Friday, it was a non-uniform day in exchange for an Easter egg, which will go towards our egg raffle on the final day of term. It was also Red Nose Day, so the children and staff all donned something red to commemorate the occasion, alongside a red nose.

Friday was also the day that our Spring Term reports were sent home to parents ahead of next week's parent-teacher meetings. I hope everyone has booked a slot in order to discuss with teachers how their children are getting on. If you have not, there is still time to do so.

Next week, we have Rev. Jo visiting for our Easter assembly service, we have Norse visiting to provide a biscuit workshop and we have our Easter bonnet parade and egg raffle draw. Another busy end to the term.

Have a great weekend everyone!
