Summer Term is here!

First week of Summer Term ends with some bright sunshine!

Welcome back to the Summer Term at Ormesby Infant. Hopefully, you have all had a lovely Easter break and feel ready to return for our final push of the academic year. We have lots of events over the Summer Term to look forward to and the majority of these can be seen from our Summer Events Calendar sent out to you, alongside my termly newsletter. There may be some alterations to what we have shared with you and other newly-organised items that may spring up as the term unfolds, but as normal, we will provide further details closer to the time.

This week has seen two staff training sessions one on the INSET day on Monday and the second via a twilight workshop on Trauma Awareness on Wednesday, which was very well delivered and was extremely interesting for all of us to further enhance our array of skills.

The children have returned raring to go and it has been lovely to watch them enjoying their work and play inside and outside. Our current Reception cohort are always eager to learn and keen to please their adults. In Year 1, there is a really healthy thirst for knowledge and a positive spirit to do their best. In Year 2, children are really trying to master the readiness to move to Junior school, conquering relationship building with their peers and understanding the drive to improve.

Next week, on Tuesday, we have our 'Meat Free' Day where all school-prepared lunches are going to be vegetarian. This is to help support our school's push for climate and sustainability. Please show your support by ensuring home-packed lunches are also free of meat.

Have a relaxing weekend everyone!
