Remember, Remember!

The fifth of November, gunpowder, treason and plot!
Halloween may have been in half-term, but this week we were able to bring the pupils' attention towards bonfire night, not just the history of the occasion, but also the importance of the safety needed. A reminder poster was sent out on our social media platform.
Planning is in motion for a trip to Stalham Church for our Year 2 children to support their learning and I am sure they will enjoy that in due course.
It has been beneficial to hold performance management meetings with the teaching and office staff this week being able to review previously set targets and to establish new ones to help improve the school linked to our Federation Improvement Plan.
Seeing the Reception children coming into a greater number of assemblies this week, particularly our Open the Book and Singing Assemblies has shown that they are really coping with increased transitions and adapting to the expectations upon them.
Next week, is Anti-Bullying Week so on Monday children are encouraged to wear odd socks to commemorate the occasion. We will also be completing some activities to raise the importance of Anti-Bullying and how we do our best to ensure bullying does not occur. On Wednesday, we will have our Federation Remembrance event around the village memorial provided the weather is good. Should it not be, we do have an alternative plan in place. All classes are making their contributions so we really hope we can gather together at the memorial. On Friday, we will also be showing our support for Children in Need by wearing non-uniform.
Have a relaxing weekend everyone!
