Open the Book return with Creation

Our Open the Book Team bring the story of Creation to life.

It has been another busy week at school, despite it only being week two. The children have been busy settling in further and I have enjoyed continuing to see and hear the children engaging so enthusiastically with their Little Wandle Phonics and other learning. Very proud!

As you can see from the picture above, our voluntary Open the Book team returned with their first story of Creation. There are always so many willing volunteers to help out and bring the stories to life. Well done to all those who took part.

The children have been interacting with one another nicely at break times, sharing resources, playing with our new Playground Pals and engaging with staff to build those lasting relationships. Our caring, family ethos is clear for all to see. All of our new pupil committee members will play a vital part this year, once again, in improving different areas of the school and having a lasting impact.

Next week, we have Norfolk Library Service visiting to celebrate all those Infant children who read six books over the Summer holidays. From Wednesday, we have the Scholastic Book Fair at our Junior school, so please feel free to go over there after school (3:30pm) to peruse the books on offer. Please remember it is all cashless, so online payments only scanning a QR code. This will run until 30th September when the books are collected. At the end of next week, we have our Macmillan Cake Morning. Hopefully, the weather is nice enabling us to sell cakes before school begins on the playground. Any cakes left over will be on sale at the end of the day also. All donations go to a worthy cause.

Have a great weekend everyone!
