Tennis Anyone?

Week ends in Tennis Enrichment!

It has been another busy week in school. A week which ended in the children getting to experience a tennis enrichment as their reward for winning a previous Virtual Competition against over fifty other schools. The children did enjoy this, but I am not sure what has happened to all the tennis balls. The bucket is empty, so perhaps a willing search party is needed next week to go and locate them.

The children in Year 1 have been working on fractions in Maths namely a quarter and I was very impressed by their recall when they were modelling how to find a quarter of a given quantity. Reception have been pushing their independent writing drive comfortable in the knowledge that if they fill up their counter pot, I will visit to create a story with them using a sound effect maker again. Year 2 were preparing themselves for their optional KS1 SATs getting used to the types of questions which may be asked of them in Maths and in Reading. I have every faith that they will do fine when the time comes.

Next week, our Governors will be visiting on Monday to provide some challenge in relation to our writing standards and they will again be looking at how behaviour is in school to see the strategies implemented previously having a positive impact. On Friday, our Reception class are going off to Martham Primary Academy for a carousel of sports led by their Year 6 children. All good fun!

Have a lovely weekend everyone!
