A Quick Dip!

Animal Hunters on the loose at Infants!
This week we have had further soaring temperatures, but the show had to go on and we continued to host the many different events that we had planned.
On Tuesday, our Reception class ventured off to Thrigby Wildlife Park to visit all the different animals on show. The alligator enclosure was extremely hot on a very warm day, but the children loved every minute of the trip. So much so, that some even fell asleep on the way home after all the excitement. Well done Caterpillars!
The Year 1 class have also been investigating creatures on the school pond following their pond dipping exercise. All in all, over thirty newts and a few frogs were collected gently by the children, before being returned to the pond. A fun activity in the sunshine.
On Thursday, we also saw several children from across the Federation travel off to the cinema to attend the Attendance Reward trip. This was the most children we have ever taken proving the incentive is working. The film was very good. Thank you to the staff for accompanying the children.
On Friday, the PTFA Summer Fayre took place and it was a very well-organised event, providing an array of stalls and activities for everyone to enjoy. Well done to all involved in making it a success. We will share the final amount raised in due course, but thank you in advance.
Next week, we have our Year 2 Leavers' BBQ on Wednesday after school and their Leavers' assembly in our school hall at 2:00pm on the final day.
Have a restful weekend everyone!
