Remembrance Return!

Remembrance brings the entire community together!

What a fantastically important end to the week today, where both schools from within the Federation joined together with the Church, Royal British Legion and the community to pay collective respect to those who have given their lives for our freedom. Behaviour from the children was impeccable throughout and I was thrilled with how we were able to conduct this occasion once again, in order to keep alive the meaning and the importance for future generations. Well done everyone!

Helping the Infants to get to and from the memorial were the Junior Leadership Team and while they waited for the correct departure time, the children heard younger children read in the library and then went outside to lead break time games. What a super bunch they are. The younger pupils loved having them there and to be honest, I think the Juniors rather enjoyed it too.

Dragonflies were this week's attendance winners with 97%, so well done to this class. Unfortunately, due mainly to illness, both Ladybirds and Caterpillars were below 90%. As a reminder to all parents, please ensure you monitor for symptoms of scarlet fever as we have children with this confirmed.

Next week on Monday, we are promoting Anti-Bullying Week, so remember your need to wear odd socks and on Friday we are wearing non-uniform in honour of Children in Need, which is another very worthy cause.

Have a fabulous weekend everyone!
