Oh Christmas Tree!

Christmas Tree and decorations prepare the school for the festive period!

Another busy week at the Infant school has seen the Christmas tree go up in the Hall. Thank you must go to Mrs. Stokes and Mr. O' Connor for their help with this. It does look great and adds an air of excitement to each day's assembly for the pupils.

Across the school, pupils have been showing how well they are doing in their Phonics sessions. It is good to see that children are making solid progress from their starting points.

Thank you to those parents who have completed their parental surveys. The responses are very positive, which gives the staff lots of confidence and value that their efforts are appreciated. These have been shared with staff and specific parents will be spoken to regarding their feedback should this warrant it.

On Thursday, some of our Governors visited for their first Challenge day of the year. They were looking at our foundation curriculum as their priority focus. They spoke to our Infant Leaders and some subject leaders in the HIDE and were impressed with what they saw and heard.

Whilst, we still have a number of seasonal illnesses affecting attendance in the school, Dragonflies have managed 91% so well done to this class.

In the week to come, we have the second dose of the flu vaccine on Tuesday and on Friday we have our Christmas dinner and Christmas jumper day to look forward to. On that same day, we have our Year 3 pupils visiting to watch the dress rehearsal of the Infant Extravaganza. I am sure it will be worth watching and very exciting. We cannot wait!

Have a great weekend everyone!
