Stack 'Em Up!
Speed Stacking Fun for Years 2 and 1!
What a fabulous week we have had, despite the chilly and icy wind. The children have been so excited to see snow falling this year for the first time. On the snow front, the school will inform all parents if the extreme weather we have seen in other parts of the country decides to make an appearance here, preventing us from opening safely. We hope this will not happen as we love seeing you all each day. Please remember to take care travelling into school on the roads and pavements and ensure your children are all dressed warmly for the conditions.
The children in Dragonflies and Bumble Bees have been investigating "Poo" looking at whether this belonged to a herbivore or a carnivore. Year 2 children have also been making habitats suitable for certain animals. I hope it was not too disgusting for them, but I am sure that is why they were so excited by the task.
I had the pleasure of taking some Years 1 and 2 children to East Norfolk Sixth Form College to participate in a Speed Stacking carousel of activities with the College Sports' Leaders. The children got very excited to be going out of school to a new venue and enjoyed being in the large sports' hall. The variation of games was brilliant and all children have a great learning experience.
Next week, we have Governor Challenge Day looking at writing across the Federation as well as Red Nose Day on Friday 17th March, where we are asking everyone to wear something red and donate £1.00 to this worthy cause.
Have a lovely weekend everyone and stay warm.
